Official Partner Accommodations
The Couples Run category was introduced in 2017 as part of Tsumagoi Village’s long-running tourism initiative celebrating time spent together as a couple.
Building on the village’s reputation as a place dedicated to cherishing one’s partner, this special race category invites all types of couples to run side by side through the scenic highlands of Tsumagoi.
We encourage couples to join not only the race itself, but also to take time to explore Tsumagoi at a relaxed pace—creating meaningful memories together in a place known for celebrating love and partnership.
Conditions & Special Features of the Couples Run

Couples entered in the Couple Pair category are required to stay one night before the race at one of the designated partner accommodations listed below
(This requirement does not apply to residents of Tsumagoi Village). -
Couples must cross the finish line hand in hand.

Participants will receive special original gifts from Tsumagoi, including a locally inspired “Happy Marriage” charm.

Additional activities celebrating couples are also available, including:

A stamp rally featuring locations around Tsumagoi known for their romantic and symbolic significance

The “Aisai Tree” at the Tsumagoi Tourist Information Center, where visitors can leave messages and wishes

When making your reservation, please be sure to inform the accommodation that you are participating in the Tsumagoi Highland Cabbage Marathon and wish to use the official shuttle bus.
After completing your booking, please email the Tsumagoi Tourism Association with your reservation details.
Once confirmed, we will transfer your booking to the official marathon runner accommodation plan, which includes a ¥500 discount per runner.
